Tax wealth not work.
We can stop growing wealth inequality.
Our current tax system is rigged against working people. We aggressively tax work while allowing massive piles of inherited or accumulated wealth to grow virtually untaxed.
Here we outline what we want to see in the UK, but it could be used as a blueprint for other countries too.
I support a yearly 2% tax on individuals with total assets exceeding £10 million.
Tax Capital Gains and dividends at the same rates as income tax, ensuring that money made by money is not treated more favourably than money made by work.
Some very rich families pass on massive fortunes (sometimes billions) tax-free. We want more aggressive inheritance taxation and the closure of tax loopholes for trusts and other vehicles.
Even if billionaires move to tax havens like Dubai, their assets—such as UK real estate, supermarket chains, and infrastructure—remain in the country and can and should be taxed at the source.
Our power lies in the public awareness. We’re building a media and education platform that politicians eventually won’t be able to resist.
My goal is to become the person the average man or woman on the street goes to when they want to understand the economy. We want to make wealth inequality the central issue for voters.
Our strategy is to build public awareness and support through digital storytelling, bypassing traditional media and gatekeepers to power. Once we have the public onside, politicians will listen to us.
Rupert Murdoch was well regarded as one of the most powerful people in the world until quite recently. He didn’t set up a political party or become a politician. He built a media empire.
We have this opportunity with social media.
Rather than joining a party or lobbying behind closed doors, my plan focuses on creating such overwhelming popular support that politicians are forced to talk to me and adopt our policies.
